At least 12 people have
been Shaheed by a bomb attack in the Pakistani city of
Karachi, hospital officials say.The attack, possibly
involving a bomb on a motorcycle, targeted a bus
carrying Azadar to a chalum procession. About 50 were
injured.It took place on the main road of the country's
commercial centre.Friday is the last and most important
day of the Arbaeen religious festival, 40 days of
mourning for the death of the Prophet Muhammad's
grandson.The attack took place on a commercial street
near the main Sharah-e-Faisal road connecting Karachi
airport with the city.In December, 43 people were killed
in a bombing in Karachi which the Taliban said they had
carried out.Paramilitary troops were deployed in the
city days ago amid deadly clashes between rival
political groups.

BBC Report:-
Two suicide bombers have Shaheed at least 10 people and
injured 25 in the outskirts of Karbala in Iraq, reports
from Iraqi police say.One report, quoting the city's
governor, says that 27 people Shaheed.Approximately a
million Shia Muslim pilgrims are in the city to visit
the Imam Hussein shrine at the end of a Arbaeen
commemorations.The bombings raise fears of heightened
sectarian violence before Iraq's March parliamentary
elections.Friday is the last and most important day of
the Arbaeen, 40 days of mourning for the death of the
Prophet Muhammad's grandson.This year's pilgrimage to
Karbala had already been hit twice by bombers.A bomb
planted on a cart pulled by a motorbike killed at least
20 pilgrims on Wednesday as they streamed into
Karbala.And more than 40 pilgrims were Shaheed on the
outskirts of the capital Baghdad on Monday as they began
the long walk to Karbala.
